The Bai'etan Greater Bay Area Art Center is located at the confluence of three rivers on the banks of Bai'etan in Liwan District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, on the south side of Changdi Street in Liwan District, Guangzhou City. It is a major landmark public cultural facility integrating Guangdong Art Museum, Guangdong Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, and Guangdong Literature Museum. It was designed by the team led by Academician He Jingtang of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The total building area is more than 140000 square meters, and the total exhibition area is 40000 square meters. It looks like a ship docked on the the Pearl River, implying that a huge ship full of Lingnan culture and art treasure boxes is about to set sail.The White Swan Hotel is located at No.1 Shamian South Street, Liwan District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. In 1979, Guangdong Provincial Tourism Administration and Huo Yingdong's Weichang Development Co., Ltd. jointly invested in the construction of the hotel. The hotel is named because it is located near the White Goose Pond of the the Pearl River. Opened on February 6, 1983, it covers an area of over 30000 square meters with a building area of 110000 square meters. The building is 28 stories high and has 843 guest rooms and 30 restaurants of all sizes. From the guest room, you can enjoy the city of Guangzhou and the beautiful scenery of the Pearl River. In 1985, it was accepted as the first member of the world-class hotel organization in China. In 1996, it was ranked first in the National Tourism Administration's first selection of the Top 100 and 50 Best Hotels in China. In 2003, the Sino foreign cooperation period expired, and the assets belonged to the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, with the Guangdong Provincial State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission fulfilling the responsibilities of the investor. The White Swan Hotel is not only the first five-star hotel with Sino foreign cooperation in China, but also the first large-scale modern hotel designed, constructed and managed by Chinese people.
