In San Francisco the period between 1920 to 1930 is considered as The Golden Age of School Construction, with fifty schools being built during this short time. Roosevelt Middle School, being built between 1929 to 1930 not only just made it for that, but was done very beautifully in the Dutch German Expressionist Style, the only building in the city, possibly the only one in the whole country. It is because of this style that they used brick, very beautifully, so soon after the 1906 Earthquake. The school was given San Francisco Landmark status in March 2019. As seen 5 October 2024.
