Govardhan Parikrama is a sacred pilgrimage in the Hindu tradition that involves circumambulating (walking around) the Govardhan Hill in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India. The hill holds immense religious significance, especially for followers of Lord Krishna, as it is believed that Krishna lifted the hill on his little finger to protect the villagers of Vrindavan from a torrential storm sent by the rain god, Indra. This event is celebrated during the festival of Govardhan Puja, which occurs the day after Diwali.
