Zhujiang New Town is the main part of Tianhe CBD in Guangzhou. Tianhe CBD is one of the three national central business districts approved by the State Council. It mainly serves the Pearl River Delta Economic Circle, is the largest CBD in South China, a member of the World Business District Alliance, and a demonstration base for the liberalization of service trade in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. It has become a highly concentrated area for the headquarters economy and high-end industries such as finance, technology, and commerce in South China. Tianhe CBD is the most densely populated area of skyscrapers over 300 meters in China, as well as the most densely populated area of Fortune Global 500 enterprises in Guangzhou. It has 13 headquarters of multinational corporations, 3 headquarters of Fortune Global 500 enterprises, 184 project institutions established by 140 Fortune Global enterprises, and 20 domestic Fortune 500 enterprises.
