Belen Market at the city of Iquitos, Peru. One of the most famous traditional market in Peru. You can find all sorts of local tropical fruits and vegetables, medicinal herbs, all kinds of exotic meats and bushmeat from the amazon area, endangered or not, souvenirs, and articles of daily use. It is frequented by both the locals and the tourists. It is considered one the most dangerous place in Iquitos, despite heavily armed police presence in the market, tourists often suffer robberies in the market. Fruits and vegetables are usually presented on top of banana leaves on the ground.
