Banh bot loc, a traditional central Vietnamese dish Hue, is a savory dumpling with a sticky, translucent coating. Once you bite through to the middle and taste the salty marinated shrimp and pork belly, itââ¬â¢s like striking gold with your mouth. Banh Bot Loc (Vietnamese Clear Shrimp/Pork Dumplings) is that each dumpling is wrapped and steamed in banana leaf.It served with fish sauce. To wrap the banana leaf, fold the leaf in half lengthwise and sealing tight the area directly above the dough. Fold in the edges of the banana leaf in half and press over the wrapped part of the dough. Take the outer edges (like a candy wrapper) and fold and tuck under the wrapped dough. The mixture should be entirely covered with the banana leaf.
