S. Pellegrino in Alpe hamlet of Castiglione di G. which is located in Garfagnana in the Tuscany region, but near the border with Emilia Romagna. In the small but interesting village is the ancient shrine of unknown era of construction. Recalled in 1168 for a donation of Frederick Barbarossa. Attached to the Sanctuary was built a hospital, perhaps in 1077 when it was broken through to the provinces Modena and was abandoned to Sillano.
