Photo made at one of the many countries whose houses, buildings, towers and churches are normally located in the top of a hill. The houses (of various shapes and colors) and related roads, built in the days when there were no cars coaches and lorries, are close to each other, and the streets are often narrow in some cases very narrow. The area is called Monferrato. The Monferrato is a historical and geographical region of Piedmont. Its territory, almost entirely a hill, lies mainly in the provinces of Alessandria and Asti.
