The Cathedral of the Nativity of Our Lady is the Renaissance cathedral of Baeza province of Jaen, Spain . It was the seat of the Bishop of Jaen from 1227 until the bishopric was moved to Jaén in 1249. It is located in the Plaza de Santa María , where among others the source of Santa Maria and the town hall Altas. The source of Santa Maria is a public fountain in the center of the homonymous square in the city of Baeza. Centra urban space defined by the presence of the cathedral, the high town halls and seminar . Represents one of the main monumental icons of the city and is , in the words of architectural historian Fernando Chueca Goitia , one of the most beautiful and original sources of Andalucía.1 is part of the Renaissance monuments of Baeza , which along with the Ubeda , was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2003 .
