At Smolensk Cemetery in St. Petersburg was built two churches in the name of the Holy Trinity Primary alive-and in honor of the Smolensk Icon of the Mother of God. 16 June 1901 on the draft VA Demanovska began construction of three-altar of the Church of the Resurrection on the site of the demolished wooden house near the gates of Smolensk cemetery. The main altar of the church dedicated to the Resurrection of Christ the Light, Right - Mother of God, in honor of her icon Soothe My Sorrows, the left - all the saints. The temple was built in the so-called Naryshkin style that existed in Russian architecture at the end of XVI - early XVII century. The building has the shape of a temple of the Resurrection ship and consists of three separate churches, service could be carried out simultaneously in all three parts.
