An example of the coast of South West France and its 450 km long beach facing the Atlantic. A perfect place to chill in summer or stroll in winter. The sand is gold colored and the water very pure. Strong currents and heavy swells make it at times dangerous for swimming but great for surfing. It remains one of the nicest shores of Europe and its wilderness second to none. This is one of France's best kept secrets as beach remains uncrowded even at the height of the summer tourist season.
