Orthodox Church of St. George - the town of Medyn, Kaluga region in Russia. The town of Medyn is a small town in the Kaluga region, whose history begins with of 1376. Located in the North of Kaluga region, on the river Medina (Oka basin), on the highway Moscowââ¬âRoslavl (ÃÂ130, Warsaw highway), 15 km from the railway station Matlievska line Kalugaââ¬âVyazma, 62 km from Kaluga. Near this town lies the village of Romanovo, where was erected one of the most beautiful in the region, of Orthodox churches in honor of Saint George. This Church has a beautiful architecture and looks especially beautiful at night against the starry sky.
