As the mountain guarding the throat of the Yangtze River, since ancient times here is a hotly contested spot. Jiao Shan ancient fort is located in the foot of the mountain on the eastern side of the mountain, with the south bank of Xiangshan Fort echoes. Southern Song Dynasty patriotic Han Shizhong led troops stationed thousands of soldiers stationed, blocking Jinbing. Jiao mountain fortress stone rugged, eight with lime soil compaction of the fort, fan-shaped, facing the Yangtze River estuary.
