Cathedral Church of the Savior on Blood St. Petersburg. Similarity of Church of the Savior on Blood to St. Basil`s Cathedral in Moscow isn`t casual. Alexander III has specified that he has been designed on an image of cathedrals of Moscow and Yaroslavl. This cathedral ââ¬â a memorial to Alexander II. He has cancelled serfdom and has been fatally wounded on the place of future cathedral 3/1/1881 after eight attempts. In the bottom of a cathedral it is possible to see granite boards where all important events are celebrated during his reign.
