Lineated Barbet. A medium size bird, approximate 28 cm long, has bright green wings, tail, and vent, and thick pale yellow bill. The relatively big head is straw colored, and upper breast is streaked dark brown. The eye ring is broad yellow. As like other barbets it has bristles around the base of the beak. They are difficult to spot, but its two note call indicates its presence. Likes evergreen forests, low density cultivation. They are residents in the southern foothills of the Himalayas, parts of Bangladesh and West Bengal India.
